Top 10 Tags or Keywords
As some of you may know, I have been studying key words and playing with tags to find the best ones with, the most amounts of searches. Well, here is a partial list of what I have found so far.
Now, before I give you the list along with the data, you may want to consider how to put these tags to good use. Therefore, I am going to give you an example of how to do that and then, I will show you the list.
How to go online and how to use the right keywords while avoid using anything offensive such as sex. Searching the web for tags will waste your time but, if you love what you are doing, then the world will love you, too. Write a blog that asks, who, what, where, when and how.
There, one paragraph and I used every, last keyword that receives the highest amount of searches per month according to Adwords. So, are you ready for that list?
This list shows the top ten keywords, or tags, and how often that word is search for globally and on a monthly basis and was posted on January 26th, 2011.
· How to: 277,000,000
· Blog: 183,000,000
· How: 414,000,000
· Love: 124,000,000
· Online: 506,000,000
· Sex: 338,000,000
· Time: 101,000,000
· Web: 101,000,000
· What: 226,000,000
· World: 151,000,000
Obviously, you will want to mix these words in little statements like, “What is the best spaghetti recipe?” You do not have to use the question mark but I did not feel like getting an annoying green squiggly line in my word program.
Unless you are writing an article like this one, I would not recommend trying these keywords as stand-alone. That was, tried and it did not fare as well as hoped. However, once I structured the words in to key phrases, I saw my searches increase as well as the page scores.
Think of tags as a great way to get a person thinking about the subject you are about to present to them. When they find you online, they will read your tag such as, “What makes the world look blue?” This will peak their curiosity and they will want to read the answer.
Not only that but also, most people doing online searches for information have gotten into the habit of asking questions. So, ask questions in a first person point of view. That way, when the web surfer types their question into the search box, you will be one of the first, if not the first, person they will see.
Now, before someone else derides me about being commercial, let me ask this question. What is the point of posting our art online except, for the work to be, read and shared with others? There is nothing wrong with attracting readers, at all. Personally, the whole world can read everything I write. Some will like my work, others will not but at least, they will have read it and what is the point of writing online except to be, seen?
Look at your articles, think about the keywords in this list and turn them into good questions or, ‘strings,’ to attract readers and you should see your scores, your readership and your followers rise.
I really hope this helps everyone out. If you have any suggestion regarding getting the most out of keywords, or tags, please write a comment. Also, bookmark this page as I will be trying new words and adding them to the list as I go. Also, check out some of my other hubs and I hope you enjoy them.
Helful Hints
Here is a tip that might help you with tags. When leaving comments, look at the writer's tags and try to use a tag or two in your comment to help them. Doing so will increases their visibility online and when you respond to comments on your hubs, try to use a tag or two there as this will help increase your rating with search engine providers
